Port of Rotterdam Authority, Tilburg multi-modal terminal operator, GVT, and Chengdu International Railway Port Investment & Development Group have signed a declaration of intent. The objective of the cooperation is to transport more freight via rail between the largest European ports and Chengdu, the capital city of the centrally located Chinese province of Sichuan. The declaration of intent was signed on the day of the 800th journey of a direct freight train connection between China and Rotterdam.
